"Our goal is           souls"

In March 1978, Evangelist Valeria C. Scott was led of the Lord to begin Noon Day Prayer. The seed was sown, germinated and fertilized with the Word of God and the Anointing of the Holy Ghost for almost 23 years -- one seed bringing forth many soldiers. However, in everything there is a season – “a time to be born and a time to die.” Noon Day Prayer was terminated on December 31, 2000, but not dissolved. Its memory and legacy lives on.

On June 4, 1989, New Testament Deliverance Church held its first official service with only one member, Evangelist Valeria C. Scott, its Founder and Pastor. The Lord gave us our first three members that Sunday. The following Sunday, June 11th, God gave us five more members.

God has given us a good foundation and we are happy with the progress we have made. From August 4, 1990 to October 24, 1994, our radio broadcast entitled “Spread the Word” was aired on Saturdays at 1:15 p.m. on WYAL 1280 KHZ in Scotland Neck, NC. One of our former members, Brother Donald Person, united with us after hearing the broadcast while in North Carolina. Since its inception, many members have united with New Testament Deliverance Church.

We have been blessed with a Ministers’ Board that includes one Minister and two Evangelist, Outreach Committee, Building Committee, NTDC Chorus, Usher Board, Nurses’ Unit, Food Bank, Hospitality/Kitchen Committee, Assisted Living Facilities group and a Pastor’s Aide Committee. We thank God for our church officers and our members for the work they have continued to put into this Ministry.

We are grateful to God because we know that there is one Spirit, but many administrations. “All that we are and all that we hope to be, we owe it all to thee.”

Pastor Scott in front of the  New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, Washington, DC where she began her first Noon Day Prayer Sevice in 1978. This is the location where services were held for New Testament Deliverance Church every Sunday until January, 2014. Services now will be held at the 216 Yolanda Avenue address in Capitol Heights, Md. This will be our new location for our weekly services for all the members and all who wish to join us. The move is on now to partner with the community and to build members who will have a vision to grow with our Pastor and church. We plan to succeed and you too can be part of our success. We need you and you need us. We welcome you!
